This is so true, although it is hard to do. Support your children, raise them up. Remember that dreams can change. Tell them they can accomplish anything if they put their minds to it. Elementary school is just the beginning. The last few weeks leading up the 5th grade moving up have been emotional for me. But as the day came and went it was a little easier. My youngest is moving up to middle school, as hard as it is to believe, it means new adventures and new friends for her. I will always cherish my years at McNulty, both as a student myself and a parent. I will miss my McNulty family and hope that our paths will continue to cross in the future. Its time to step down from the PTA that I have been on for 15 years and "retire" from subbing. It's time to pass the torch on to others.
Time to focus on taking care of myself, body, mind and spirit.
